Thought busters are made even more powerful when they’re combined with mindful breathing and play. Blowing bubbles is a fun, joy-filled way for children to relax, let go of their worries and focus on their breathing.

BUBBLE SOLUTION AND BUBBLE WAND
- Take a moment to do a scan of your body. Close your eyes and notice all the sensations and feelings in your body, from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.
- Bring to mind a thought and a feeling you’ve been having lately that you’d like to let go of.
- Take a low and slow breath in for four counts, making your belly blow up like a bubble, and then gently exhale for four counts. Release the bubble in your tummy and let it carry your thought and unwanted feeling into the wand to blow a big bubble.
- As you blow your thought and feeling into the bubbles, watch them drift away.
- Now here’s the fun part! Go ahead and pop your bubbles to make your unwanted thought and feeling disappear!
- Think of something you’d like to replace that thought with. It might be a thought that leaves you feeling calm, joyful or confident.
- Imagine the thought and the feeling is a colour. Breathe that colour into your body and mind. As you do, the new thought and feeling will start to fill you up with what you need in this moment.
